Bane SwordStryke was born and raised in the town of StarRose. The people of StarRose were peaceful, though they wern't short of warriors or soldiers. The town of StarRose was located in a deep valley, with moutains one one side, hills on two and a river that branched off into smaller streams. Bane's Birth name wasn't Bane SwordStryke, her parents named her Nisha Chhayachandani, which means Night Shadowstar. Her father, Rajan Chhayachandani, began teaching her sword play at the age of three. Her mother, Sarasa Chhayachandani, started teaching her herb lore at the age of two. When Nisha turned four, raiders came flooding into StarRose. They attacked and killed almost everyone who was outside at the time. Nisha and her older brother Trilok had been outside searching for Dragons Bane, an herb that their mother had wanted for her collection, when the raiders attacked. Trilok was slain buying time for Nisha to run. After Nisha arrived home, the raiders drew back to the hills to count the wounded and get ready for another attack. Rajan began preparing to go out into battle, gathering arrows used normally for games in the village center, and sharpening kitchen knives. The air was suddenly on fire, flaming arrows rained from the skys, setting the thatched straw roofs ablaze. The people poured out from their homes to escape the choking smoke only to be slain by arrows that extingished themselves in their blood. A small but brave band of warriors assembled while the women and children fled to the stone building that served as the council lodge. All of the children were shoved down into the cellars, and the door closed and covered to escape notice. The women then picked up anything that could be used as a weapon and rushed out to join the battle. Down in the cellar, all Nisha could do was wait, and hope that her parents would come back. The children started to socialize, not knowing what else to do. Nisha found one of her friends, Tapan, and started talking with him. Tapan was in warriors training like many of StarRose's children were, and he began making plans to go join his parents. Many of StarRose's children joined in with the idea, and they started taking stock of their weapons. Some of the children made slings from headbands, while others checked the edges on belt knives. They forced the door open and rushed out into battle. Nisha ran with Tapan to engage the enemy. Suprisingly for the first part, none of the children were slain, and the enemy were forced back by the sudden reinforcements. But numbers started to tell. Nisha tried vainly to battle her way through to her father, who was surrounded by men, but she was forced back every time. Tapan shouted over the din of the fighting to her "Look out behind you! C'mon, we'll break though thes....Yaaaaahhh!!!" Tapan slid off the blade of a raider and fell dead. Nisha nearly dropped her small belt knife as she looked at Tapan, and then turned back to the fighting, by the time she reached her father, he was already dieing, and most of the people of StarRose were down, dead or bleeding. The raiders paied no heed to one child kneeling by her dieing father as they forced their way through to take hold of StarRose. Rajan handed Nisha his sword, and bade her to gather the villagers and try and reclaim the village, then he closed his eyes, drew his last breath, and lay still. Overwhelmed by the events, of seeing her brother, father and friends die, she fled into the hills, dragging Rajan's blade with her.

Nisha couldn't bring herself to go back to StarRose, but she remained in the hills for weeks, until she saw the raiders leave to slay the next village. She then ran down into the ruins, searching for anyone left alive. No one. Dead, decaying and charred bodies were found everywhere, apparently the raiders hadn't thought to dispose of the bodies. Nisha dug a grave for everyone who had lived in StarRose, and burried them, alone. Standing, whiping dirt and grit from her eyes and face, she looked in her hand, at the dragon's blood she had been sent out to get for her mother. She went to the ruins of her house, and put the dragon's bane on the shelf, taking the name Bane for herself after that. Then she left StarRose, vowing never to run from a battle again.

She went to the more populated areas, sleeping in the streets, stealing money and food, running from her past. At age seven she was captured by a guild of assassins. They used her as a servant, beating her when she didn't do anything to their satisfaction. She tried to escape them over and over, every time she was dragged back and beaten more savagely. When she reached age 10 the assassins started sending her out with more important assignments, no longer to simply steal food or drink for them. They gave her poisons and told her who to kill. Thus Bane's knowledge of poisons was earned, and well used through her life. During one of her assignments, Bane was caught by the locals and sentenced to death by fire, for murder. Until she was killed, she was to be held in the city's prison. Laying in the prison cell one night, half asleep, Bane heard a faint clicking sound, and the door slowly creaked open. She blinked and sat up, trying to clear her vision. A man wearing the colors of the law enforcement for the town walked in and pulled her none to gently to her feet. "Don't tell me it's already time," Bane said . "Not yet, on the morrow, but your to spend the night tied to the stake, until we decide the town has had long enough to see what happens to law breakers." The enforcer led Bane up to a stake and shoved her against it. She leaped back away and ran for it. Bane ran for hours, with men on horseback in pursuit.

Her picture and name spread across the lands, for years she was forced to live in the shadows, working as an assassin. She poisoned, set traps, or hit and ran. During her entire life, she kept her father's sword with her, as a reminder of what happened in StarRose. After killing a rich man in one town, the price on her head went up, so Bane died her hair white and cast a spell to change the color of her eyes and the sound of her voice. She decided it would be best to leave town, and go in search of a new area. Waiting until late at night, she broke into an inn's stables and stole a large brown horse, then fled town with it.

Bane's next stop was at a small village similar to StarRose. Riding up to the village she could see trouble, not somthing she wanted to miss out on. Riding directly into the village, she saw somthing that made her blood boil. Raiders were attacking the village. She lifted the spells that changed her appearence, wanting to have full use of her magic, and found the head man of the village. "I see your having problems with raiders, i'd be willing to help if you'd be willing to pay." The head man looked at Bane for a moment, "Your a mercenary then?" Bane nodded. "Well we need all the help we can get, have you any weapons?" Bane nodded again, indicating her bow and sword. "Well fine then, what is your name Mercenary?"
"It's Bane."
"No last name?"
"Uh...yeah, I have a last name."
"Then what is it?"
"It's...Bane SwordStrike...SwordStryke."
"Ok, well then Bane, go join the forces."
Bane rode her stolen horse up with the other villagers, checked her weapons, and braced herself. "Everyone get ready...1....2....3....CHAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGEEEE!!!!!" The villagers rushed to engage the raiders. Bane ripped a line straight into the raiders, letting her anger flood over her good sense. The raiders closed in around her and started trying to knock her from the saddle. Bane lost her bow early in the battle, not having the space to fire it, she dropped it. She shoved her blade through the chest of one man and spun to attack the raider that had slashed her back open. Bane's cry rose above the fray of the battle, "SwoooorrdStryyyke and StaaaarRoooose!" Leaping from her saddle, Bane hurled herself on the raiders, and was lost in the swarm of foes.

After the battle, Bane was found on the battle field still gripping her sword and the broken shaft of a raider's spear. Around her and on top of her were dead raiders. She was brought back and cared for by the remaining village people. She remained in a coma for a score and a half of days. As soon as she could get up, she was practicing with her sword to return to top condition. Until the time she reached fourteen, she learned to fight with staff, ax, long sword, short sword, rapier, scyth, club and hand to hand from the village experts. When she was fourteen she left the village with a new title for herself, Bane SwordStryke the Mercenary.

She wandered across the land, taking jobs when they came to her. She killed, fought, stole, spread sickness, worked in stables and on farms, taking full advantage of every opertunity presented to her. Around age 18, she was involved in a riot and was again taken in by the law enforcement. She remained in prison for two years, and spent that time thinking over her life. When she was released from jail, she wandered the streets aimlessly, searching for somthing she knew she could never find. Peace.

Walking through a dark alley a night of the black moon, Bane stopped suddenly. She was sure she had heard the rustle of clothing behind her. Spinning around she found nothing. She turned and continued walking, when she stopped again. Was her mind playing tricks on her, or did she hear somone snicker? She remained as still as a deer who sees the hunter near by, and the case was quite similar to that. An arm wrapped around her throat and pulled her back roughly. Bane grabbed the arm and threw her weight, sending the man flying. Instead of hitting the ground though, the man floated, landed on his feet, and leaped back at her. She dodged to the side as fast as possible, watching the man carefully while drawing her belt knife. Looking him over she saw a tall thin man with the palest skin she had ever seen. His black eyes seemed to cut through her, mustering her courage she slowly moved twords the man with her knife ready. She leaped. He was gone, and then suddenly somthing struck her across the back of the head. Bane never remembered hitting the ground.

When she opened her eyes, she looked around, exspecting to see the dark damp alley. Instead she saw a dimly lit room, and the same man standing next to her and staring at her. She jumped up, pushing the pain in her head back and reached for her sword. It was gone. "Where's my sword?!" "You'll get it in good time child, now listen to what I have to say." The man sat across from Bane and spoke. "You have two choices, you can either die, or become my child." Bane looked puzzled, "What, you want to adopt me?" The man's face showed slight amusement, "No, I am a vampire, I drink the blood of mortals, I take their souls for all eternity. I can turn you into a vampire, and you will life the same life as I do. Otherwise, I can kill you." Bane stood and started sliding twords the door, "You know I think i'll just pass on this today..." She turned to rush out the door only to find the man blocking it. He grabbed her and bit down on her neck, holding her tightly. Bane kicked and struggled, until for the second time that night, she passed out. When she woke, she was a vampire, and alone back in the dark alley. She was later to learn that the vampire Sakon Hayateno was her new father.

Bane wandered aimlessly, killing humans and draining them of their blood, leaving the dead in her wake. A price was set on Bane's head, 40,000 gold for anyone who could bring in her head. The next place she stopped at for any length of time was the town of Skyclear. She made friends with a woman around her age, and they spent many days together. Bane thought she had at last found peace, but the peace wasn't to last long.

She was awakened by her friend yelling outside her door "She's in there!" Bane jumped up and smashed open a window, leaping out with nothing but her sword and the clothes on her back. Slipping behind some bushes, she listened and heard people tearing through her room and going through her belongings. Her friend's voice could be heard through the clatter and clang..."I know she is still in here! I tell you I saw her myself!" Bitterness welled up in Bane, and she made a mental note that friends caused nothing but pain. Bane left Skyclear, never to return again.

Resuming wandering again, Bane took jobs as always, stole, and killed. The days passed like seconds, though some days the time seemed endless. Then suddenly Bane vanished off the face of the earth, her name was covered by the mists of time. Those who once hunted her forgot her name as easily as if she had been somone they had greeted in the street one day. The next time she was sighted was over a year later.

Bane joined up with a group called the Hellcats, trying to reclaim some humanity. She fought against a clan of assassins known as the Shadow Panther Assassins for months. But she was never happy unless she was fighting or killing. She slowly came to see what she had become, crafted into a sharp edged blade by society. She was a hunter. She killed to live, and lived to kill. She no longer felt remorse for the lives she took, it was simply a job she did, and did well. Heartless. Emotionless. She left the Hellcats and took up life in a cave by a cliffside.

Bane lived alone except for some visitors, during the course of time she had made friends with a guild called the Long Patrol. She also remained friends with Cornflower, who later changed her name to Alexis. She soon was suprised to learn that the vampire she had met so long ago, Sakon Hayateno, had returned and was searching for her. She took great care to avoid him, and made the mistake of not telling the Long Patrol that the Halbred of Sorcery was hidden within Salamandastron. Sakon got hold of the halbred and created the Ultimate Sword of Sorrcery by combining it with two other mystical weapons. Somone must have told Sakon of Bane's friends, for he started trying to use them to draw her out. He captured Alexis at one point to use as bait, it worked and bane met up with her father again. Harsh words passed, and they parted for awhile, until later when Sakon caught up with her again. He explained about an old legend, and that Bane had to go with him in order to remain protected. She refused to leave the friends she had made, and he took it upon himself to kill them. Enraged by this, Bane fought Sakon and was killed.

Another year passed and the threat of Gargauth was rising. Sakon was speaking with one of Bane's old friends, Patchcoat, and they decided to try and form a small resistance of the better fighters against him. During the conversation, Bane was brought up, and Patch mentioned that Bane would have been usefull during the resistance. A plan formulated, and Sakon and Patch used their combined power to bring Bane back from the grave.

After returning, Bane changed her name to Bane DarkRage in order to avoid old enemies. Bane pledged her help against Gargauth, for what it was worth. As it turned out, Sakon drifted away from the group and went to remain in Kaga, working on weapons, and Patchcoat went to stealing. Bane began to rob taverns openly, instead of just picking pockets. While doing this, she met up with Theron_Azacould, who wished to learn more of the trade. Bane agreed to help teach him, and together they robbed tavern after tavern. Soon Patchcoat began to help Bane rob the taverns, and Kalasin came soon after that. Scott Levy joined in, and then Raphael not too soon after. As the people began to grow within the group, Bane created a symbol for the group, one that would tell other thieves who was part of her crew, and who could recruit their help.

Bane continued to fight with the Scale Sisters of the Night when they showed up, but mainly with a dragon by the name of Dahtasha_Black_Dragon. Unfortuneately, Bane could never kill Dahtasha because she wouldn't hang around long enough to be killed. Bane went to attacking one of Dahtasha's servents who had tried to murder one of her friends. The servent's name was The_Red_Death_, and during a fight with Red, Bane had her face burned badly on the upper left half. After that Bane wore a mask around, which served a double purpase, to conceal and to protect from some attacks to the face.

Bane finally caught up with Dahtasha and two of her friends, Moonlight_War_Dragon and Flayme_Wyng_Dragon. During the battle, Bane was badly wounded, and had she been a mortal, she would have died from the wounds inflicted. The dragons brought up a certain person from her past, and it drove bane into a rage, all three of the dragons died for an ill chosen remark. She returned to her HQ and was healed by SimonHood at the request of Raphael.

Not too soon after, Bane adopted a daughter, and created a new vampyre in the process. Her daughter changed her name to Tahlia_DarkRage, and became a thief in training. Bane spent her free time showing her the finer points of picking pockets.

Again Bane went after the Scale Sisters, this time to avenge her friends Kalasin and Patchcoat who had been killed by DarkestScale, the head mage. This time she was taking on five dragons at once, not good odds. Well as things went, she was captured and beaten to the point of near death, but released because her friends on the outside had taken one of the dragons hostage.

The very next day, Bane found out that the Long Patrol had gotten a new member by the name of Raoul, the son of Flashblade. Records from Salamandastron, the ones kept by almost all of the captains, had been taken by Bane awhile ago, and she recalled that Raoul had been cast out from the Long Patrol long ago. Looking into the records, she found he had attacked members, and tried to poison them. In saying as much to the Long Patrol captain, Starbuck, all she got was disbelief. Starbuck refused to do anything about Raoul, and Bane refused to let Raoul do the same thing again, so she arranged a fight with him. Not soon after she heard that Starbuck would call war on the Thieves if she fought with Raoul, though that did not stop her. The day after the fight was held, before Bane had a chance to fully recover from the battle with the scale sisters. The fight had not been going well for Bane, and towards the end she had both of her eyes slashed through. Raoul must have decided he wanted to criple Bane for good, so he laid down a spell to prevent anyone healing Bane's eyes, or her healing them herself unless she could muster the energy to break the spell. Bane's anger rose again, and she began to gain the upper hand in the fight, which caused Raoul to flee the scene.

A few days later, Bane got into a fight with the Turk leader, Leo. Because of her not being able to see, Leo was able to throw her down into a holding cell. At finding she had been imprisoned, Bane began to rage, tearing through the Turk's Tavern. The energy level in her magic rose enough that it shattered the spell that had been placed by Raoul. Later on, Bane and Leo made up, sort of.

A few days later while talking with some friends, Bane was pulled aside by Sakon. The news was bad, Tahlia had been killed by DarkestScale. In her anger, Bane struck Sakon and ran back to the Thieves HQ.

Later on, Bane got back together with Sakon and made a plan to go in and destroy the Scale Sisters for good. Sakon introduced Bane to her Blood Brother, Eradicus_SwiftStryker. Eradicus would be going with them to fight the scale sisters. Sakon told both Bane and Eradicus that only one person would walk out of there, and he already knew it would not be him. Everything was arranged, and the Scale Sisters consented to a battle. Two groups would clash, one for vengance, the other for survival.

The fight did not go well for the Scale Sisters from the start. Two fell before the first bad injuries hit Bane and her family. Eradicus was the first one to go down, at the claw of DarkestScale. Bane went at DarkestScale unarmed, sustaining bad injures from the dragons claws and teeth. After DarkestScale had been slain, Bane picked up her blade again, and went to get the leader. Sakon was fighting, pushing the dragons back from Eradicus's body, refusing to believe that his son had been killed. When Bane turned from the dead DarkSpirit, she saw Sakon go down, taking his killer with him. The last dragon had been killed. The battle was over with.

Until the rest of Bane's story unfolds, this will conclude it. None of this story was made up, this all happened in the game. Time is exagerated although, because of course, time passes differently in different realms. I will continue to write this story for your enjoyment, or just for the hell of it because I have nothing better to do anyway....
